Last weekend, I was invited to capture a sensitive event. I was asked to film a funeral.
The family who lost their loved one asked that we (me working with Lewis Media Group) film their funeral ceremony and post it online. That way folks who weren’t able to attend would still be able to share in the event.
It was an honor to be allowed to video the ceremony, to hear the story of the person who passed. As a stranger, I stood so close to people’s grief, which is a privilege and still felt intrusive.
I hope we honored the family with our work.
